BELCAT-II is a fully automated chemisorption analyser, with some differences.

The concentric tube reactor eliminates fragile and difficult to clean u-tubes. A central quartz thermocouple sheath can be used for direct measurement of bed temperature.

Full quantification for pulse measurements, with direct measurement of static loop pressure and temperature. No BELCAT user has ever needed to type in the ambient pressure - correction has been fully automatic for over twenty years.

No need to change dosing loop volume. When the sample activity is low, the innovative MIX line allows the user to dilute the pulse gas, to optimise the measurement signal without surgery.

As its name suggests, the MIX feature allows the user to create arbitrary gas compositions, for pretreatment, for pulse chemisorption, or for temperature programmed reaction and exchange measurements. If two component mixtures are too limited, extra lines can be added - each with an independent flow controller.
